Welcome/Need Your Help

Welcome to all the new CWMs in our community. Please check out our Facebook group and blog. I know a lot of you read the blog and Facebook, but don’t post. I truly want us to be able to learn from one another. So many times in my life I have learned from women who have walked a path before me. Their wisdom is priceless.

We haven’t had a CWM interview issue recently due to not having any CWMs who are willing to be interviewed. This is a wonderful way to learn from one another and encourage one another. If you are willing to be interviewed, send an email to and put interview in the subject heading.

Stay Tuned

I have been working on a project for a long time now to help parents teach their children about God. I’m very close to being ready to share it with everyone. So, stay tuned for a special announcement.

Article – Are you a Negative Nancy or a Positive Polly?

I don’t know about you, but this world seems hyper focused on the negative. Do you ever have anyone call you to celebrate good news? The news on TV, the radio, and just general society is focused on the negative. I just thought the other day no one comes to work and says, “I had a great commute this morning, everything was wonderful, loved the traffic flow.” It seems negative is our chief operating mode.

You can also see this in schools as well. Children don’t rush to complement one another. They see who can have the best put down.

Do you feel your outlook has become more of a Negative Nancy or can you force yourself to be a Positive Polly? Listen to some verses from Scripture:

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24

Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

For whatever was written in the former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4

We as Christians are called to be different. Due to the work that Christ has done for us on the cross we are redeemed. We are children of God and we should be the encouragers and hope bearers to those around us. Yet, it is so easy to be dragged down into the mud and negativity. We forget that God is victorious and has won the battle.

At home with your family do you think you are more negative or positive? What about at work? What about in your marriage? Do you bring people down or lift them up?

Can we shine the light of encouragement in a very dark world? Can we be Positive Polly’s? Can we lead our children to follow us in speaking words of encouragement? They watch and copy everything we do. May we live out Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Final Thoughts

Thanks to my sister, Karen who helped me to figure out Positive Polly. All I could think of was the negative words. Very telling and convicting!! I want to become a Positive Polly through the power of the Holy Spirit. May my words be a blessing to others.

Till next time,
