What a crazy winter it has been. A huge part of the United States is buried under record amounts of snow. Australia has been hit by tremendous floods. I hope you are safe and warm where you are. I have told you many times how literally we have CWMs all over the world. Just this week I have received email from CWMs in Argentina and Canada. I have heard from women from Malaysia, England, and many more countries.

Can I ask you right now to lift up in prayer all the CWMs all over the world who seek to glorify God in all they do? Also, the Middle East is currently seeing tremendous conflict in many countries. In all of those countries Christians are in the definite minority. Please pray for the believer’s safety, for their faith to remain strong, and for God’s presence to be an overwhelming comfort for them. Pray that even during this strife God’s Word will be preached and shared.

Article – A Valentine Prayer for CWMs

As CWMs we often feel weary, unappreciated, and often ignored in our churches. We are told in Scripture to pray without ceasing. In other words, an ongoing conversation with God throughout the day. So, today I would like to list some prayers we may lift up to God during our day and His answer to our prayers from His Word. I would never want to “speak” for God. His Word is true and speaks for itself. Can you visit the CWM blog at http://christianworkingmoms.blogspot.com and list some prayers you pray to God?

God, you know sometimes I feel that if I do one more load of laundry, wash one more dish I might scream. Do you have the missing socks in heaven?

“And the King will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:40

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

PS Won’t need socks in heaven!

So, I guess even laundry can be an act of worship? Yes, it can!

God, money is really tight right now. I worry that I won’t be able to pay the bills and that we could lose our house.

The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.” Psalm 34:10

And my God will supply every need of yours, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

I can trust that You will meet all our needs, not our wants but our needs.
God, did you see what my precious child did today? He/She is so cute and truly loves you.

“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.” Psalm 139:10
You knew before the world was formed what my precious gift from you would be doing today? That is amazing!

God, I worry about the future for my children. Will they be able to find a job, what will the world be like in 10 or 20 years?

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you’re a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

I need to realize my children’s lives are in your hands and you will guide them in the way to go.

God, I’m really frustrated that my husband or children don’t help around the house. I feel everything is on my shoulders. I need rest.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

“I can do all thing things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

I need to do things in your strength and not my own.

God, sometimes I feel so alone. Do you see me?

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17

Quiet sounds good God. You sing over me?! That sounds wonderful.

God, I know you love me, but some days it is hard. Some days it seems everyone is against me.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“The LORD appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. Jeremiah 31:3

Oh, my Savior you have loved me so much you sent your only Son to die for me so I could even be in your presence! You are amazing and I will spend my life thanking and praising you.

God, my boss is really tough. I don’t think he/she can be pleased. Can I be honest God I really don’t like him/her at all?

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Colossians 3:23
I see I’m really working for You. You are ultimately my boss. Show me Lord when to speak and when to keep my mouth shut.

My dear, sweet sisters in Christ I once was told the Bible can answer any question. My reply was God can’t tell me which job to take, it is not in the Bible. Yet, God give us principles to live by in the Bible and a sound mind. Also, if we pray and listen to God’s quiet voice He will give us direction about what we need to do in every area of our lives.

The hardest thing for most of us, including me, is waiting on the Lord. In our microwave society, we need to trust in God’s Crockpot timing. I know that can be hard. Yet, He is working in our lives and through our lives even if we can’t see His hand.

On this Valentine’s Day my prayer for you is to remember you are loved by a Heavenly Father abundantly and excessively. He loves you and sees all you do for Him while taking care of your family and working. Can I say, I appreciate you too? You are God’s gift to your family and workplace. Praise God that he made you the way you are. You are his handiwork!

Final Thoughts

I read a book once where the author said God gave her a life verse every year. The verse would just come to her and she would chew on it throughout the year. My life verse for this year came to me just the other day. “For the love of Christ controls (compels) us, because we have concluded this; that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15. I want my live to be controlled by the love of Christ and to die to self.

Till next time,
