Easter comes early this year. A wonderful way to share the Easter story with your children and friends of your children is the Resurrection Eggs. Did you have a good Valentine’s Day? Are you over your sugar high?
One thing about being a CWM is learning to be flexible. Today, I was supposed to go with my son on a field trip, but he is home sick. We are headed to the doctor shortly. (He is sleeping right now!) I don’t know about at your house, but we can’t seem to stay well at our house this winter.

We are having a wonderful response to prayer partners and I hope everyone who has a prayer partner is enjoying getting to know a fellow sister in Christ. I have another CWM who would like a prayer partner. So, if you are interested in a prayer partner, send an email to with prayer partner in the subject heading. As soon, as I have a match I will send you another CWMs email address and you can contact one another.

Michelle thanks for your willingness to share with the CWM community. Michelle is a 35 year old CWM who lives in the US.
She has been married for 12 years and has two boys ages 8 and 9.
She is currently a nursing student and almost finished with her program. She works at a hospital as an extern 1 day a week.

Michelle shares the following joys of being a CWM: I am building my faith in God to take care of my children while I am not there. My family is becoming a real team, with everyone having to help with chores and responsibilities, my children are learning goal setting, perseverance, and sacrifice by my example, I am making friends in unfamiliar circles that I would not have otherwise had exposure to expanding my witness for Jesus, I will be helping my family become debt free,

Michelle struggles with: not being the perfect mom, spouse, housekeeper, church volunteer. I struggle with accepting my limits, telling others no, and accepting areas of mediocrity like piles of laundry, dinner out of boxes, not being able to give more time to homework, not volunteering at the boys school.

Her favorite Bible verse is: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." Ephesians 3:20

God is teaching Michelle how to let go of my controlling nature and allow God to do his job of meeting our needs and protecting my children from evil influences where I can’t. I am learning that all things work for the good of those who love God, and that just because something is not in my control, doesn’t mean it’s out of God’s control.

Michelle offers these words of Encouragement to our Christian Working Moms community: God loves you, and he loves your husband and your children even more than you do and your being a working mom doesn’t change that. He will not let your family go, he doesn’t need us to live a certain way in order to fulfill his promises of care and sustenance. God is there, and the greater our need for his support, the greater he can show his power to uphold those who love him.

Michelle also encourages us to prioritize, focus on 3 or 4 things that really matter – things that will matter in 10 years, and quit feeling guilty about the rest.

I think most of us have the same struggles as Michelle. We know God is in control, yet we want to control as well. God loves to work in our lives when it seems there is no way out, that is when he does his best work and it is all for his glory.
