A new school year begins this week for my daughter and son. One is in college and the other is in highschool. Time really does fly when you are having children. I see a lot of pictures on Facebook of people taking pictures of their children for their first day of school. I wished I had done that every year with my kids, but I didn’t. Of course, when they get older they are not very cooperative. Think about any traditions you want to start with your children around school. For those of you with babies and preschoolers there are always special days you can celebrate as well. Welcome to all the new CWM sisters in our community.

Article – The Eternal Value of Prayer Warriors

First, let me apologize for this issue being a little late. My 80 year old Mom has been in the hospital due to emergency abdominal surgery and other issues. My Mom has been a prayer warrior all her life. She has prayed for her grandchildren, my sister and I, and our husbands. Our entire family has benefitted from her prayers and devotion to our God.

While we were in the hospital I had the privilege of hearing my Mom pray. Even though she had been through so much physically, she started praying with praising God and thanking Him for his blessings. She then prayed that the Lord would keep her from complaining (believe me she has so much to complain about) and then started praying for our families. I was in tears hearing her pray for all of us.

What I want you to know is prayers are eternal. God is timeless; therefore, He already knows prayers you prayed years ago are answered. Sometimes, our prayers do take years to be answered. Yet, prayers are forever.

So, can I encourage you to be a prayer warrior for your children for now and the future? Also, join others to pray for their children as well. I have been blessed and see prayers God answered that I prayed for my children many years ago.

I’m thankful for a Godly mother and father who were/are faithful prayer warriors. My Mom can’t wait to see her Heavenly Father and my father who is waiting there for her. It may take me years to learn to pray like my mother. There is nothing better than walking closely with our Savior all the days of our lives.

Final Thoughts

I realize that all of us do not have Godly parents. I often encourage people who come from dysfunctional families to search out Godly men and women to become their spiritual mothers and fathers. Ask someone to pray for you and your children. My experience has been older people know how to pray and have so much Godly

Till next time,
